The Sacred Heart at the UN is inviting interested individuals to a virtual internship program that was started by Joan Kirby, rscj many years ago. There is a scholarship available at Temple of Understanding (TOU) for a Sacred Heart intern.

A Four-Week Intensive Internship for Students
Ages 17-22
June 23 - July 19, 2022

Since 2005, the Temple of Understanding has implemented its commitment to education of young people by hosting a Summer Internship. TOU’s student interns have the opportunity to attend some open meetings of the UN Security Council, the General Assembly, and various committees. It is our hope that this program launches their careers as global citizens who care about the humanitarian goals embraced by the UN.

This internship is a commitment, and each day should be taken very seriously. Student interns are expected to be self-motivated, responsible, and dedicated in addition to being interested in the work of the UN as part of a future career. They are expected to be professional and respectful, to be on time each day, to be actively involved, to turn in assignments on time, and to put forth their best effort.
