Background

Layo is a small Andean village where average temperatures range from 7°C to 8°C. Due to these temperatures, agriculture is difficult. Most of its people are indigenous Quechua speakers and farmers. 

Objective:

To support indigenous community organisation by strengthening the capacities of community leaders.

Protection of the Environment, Bambamarca, Cajamarca

Background

Bambamarca is in one of the poorest and most marginalised provinces in the Department of Cajamarca. Bambamarca is a district with a high rate of malnutrition, illiteracy and environmental pollution as a result of mining.

Background

The Colegio Sophianum pedagogical model focuses in an integral formation of the person, privileging the development of their critical thinking and leadership committed to the transformation of reality.

Develop learning about human rights, a culture of peace, cultural diversity, particpatory projects and the commission for truth and reconciliation

To strengthen social consciousness and environmental impact on students
