Self-financing of the Girl Training Centre - Sewing machines (Autofinancement du Centre de Formation - Machine à coudres)

Background

The Foyer Gertrude Kosecka, in Kimwenza, is home of marginalised girls who could not finish their formal school education, in particular single mothers and illiterate girls from nearby Kinshasa and villages. It provides basic education (mathematics and French), a literacy course and one on life education (pastoral). Its main activity centre on a three-year sewing course.

Objective

Improve the sewing skills of the girls in the boarding school.
