What might St. Madeleine-Sophie Barat’s vision be?
The Planning Committee for the 6th International Sacred Heart Conference wishes to share the exciting keynote address, Taking Care Of our Common Home, prepared by Isabelle Lagneau, RSCJ, member of the General Council, Society of the Sacred Heart.
Originally intended as the opening talk for the Conference, Sr. Lagneau speaks to the vision of St. Madeleine Sophie Barat as a source of inspiration to responding to the call of Laudato Si’. In the hopes that the Conference might become virtual, the Planning Committee arranged for Isabelle to offer the keynote to a group of leaders from across the global Sacred Heart Network. While Covid-19 and the variant prevented both the in-person and virtual international conferences from occurring, we now offer you both the video and transcript of this important address.
We hope that our reflection on Sr. Lagneau’s insights may spark an inclusive dialogue about how we as Sacred Heart Schools are shaping the future of our planet through education.
