To increase JPIC awareness among RSCJ in the province of Ireland-Scotland.

• 2013- 2015 Individual rscj have participated in discussions on trafficking,  the greening of the Earth, refugees/migrants, gay and lesbian rights, the prison system.

 

Background

In 2015, Pope Francis published its second encyclical, Laudato Si', a reflexion on the care of our common home. 

Objective

Dissiminate the content of Laudato Si' among RSCJ and the whole Family of the Sarced Heart in Ireland and Scotland. 

Activities

Presentations and discussions on Laudate Si' (associates and colleagues were invited to these presentations).

Outreach programme Helping U Grow

Objective

Awareness raising targeting youth on the African reality. 

Activity

Travel arrangements for 54 youth to Africa. 

Background

The 2015 Ireland Referendum on the right of the LGTB to marry. 

Activity

An informal discussion on Gay and Lesbian Rights rights.

Background

JPIC is a cross-mission in the Society. Discerning about it and finding ways to strengthen it throughout the Society and its Family is the way to further inroot it in the everyday life of RSCJ and their associates. 

Objective

Awarness raising on JPIC topics among RSCJ of two provinces 

Activities

• Meetings of RSCJ of two different provinces, ENW and IRS
• Debates about justice and peace and integrity of creation 

 

Background

The European Network of Sacred Heart Schools gather Sacred Heart Schools from 11 European countries: Austria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Malta, Poland, Italy, Scotland and Spain. The network seeks to actively support the member schools in the development and implementation of their shared Sacred Heart ethos. Among their aims is the promotion of students' social awareness which impels to action.
