
Background
ALERPI (Accueil Logement Et Réinsertion de Personnes Isolées - Hospitality Accommodation And Reinsertion of Isolated Persons) an association that offers temporary accommodation to people coming out of prison or beneficing of an adjustment of sentence. Priority is given to the poorest people showing a real desire for reintegration, whatever their nationality, religion, age or background. The association activities are located in the North-East of France, near Metz and Moselle.
Objective
To facilitate social reinsertion of ex-prisoners.
Activities
- Provide temporary accommodation: 10 flats available. Flats have been refurbished together with beneficiaries.
- Volunteers' support available 24/7 for the beneficiaries
- The beneficiaries are followed up by a social worker
- Support for job hunting, accommodation renting, paper work
- Re-learning of a daily life routine
- Leisure activities: sport, art, IT, cooking, etc.
- Hospitality of beneficiaries' relatives
- Active and constructive partnership with the prison administration and other associations
