Background
A retreat house is owned by the Society in Orewa, half an hour from Auckland, New Zealand
Objective
To offer hospitality to those seeking time alone away from their busy work place
Activities
Women gather in a a beautiful, quiet space to commune with God and creation. The retreatants can go on a three-minute walk to the beach and a 10-15 min-walk to the local Catholic Church, shops... They have access to a beautiful reflective garden, a prayer room and a spiritual library. Usually, retreatants are self-catering.
Outcomes
Retreatants who enjoy this space are in good health, independent and willing to embrace silence and solitude.
