
Objective
To develop childrens social, artistic and physical skills.
Activities
To provide a recreational and cultural space in Antofagasta with story telling, art and sport workshops. Workshops run every Saturday from March to December as follows:

9.30 am. Some volunteers walk out to get children to come to the workshop while other volunteers prepare material and the space for the workshop morning.

10.00 am. Literature Time: Short-story telling. Encourage children to compose their own tale. All children participate.

10.45 am. Artistic Time: Workshops of recycling, painting, and physical development activities

11.45 am. Recreational space: organised games (twister, strings, table football)

12.15 pm. Walk children to their homes. Cleaning of premises. Volunteers evaluation. Preparation for the following encounter

13.30 pm. Volunteers going home
Outcomes

Children have developed their reading habits (pleasure to listen to story telling and telling stories)

Values such as solidarity and respect increased among children

Rapprochement to migrant children

Improved links with organizations that provide volunteers to share their skills

Recreational space available throughout the year
