The mission of the Columban Centre is to work towards a more just, peaceful, and environmentally sustainable world by engaging in the political process guided by faith and the Gospel.
Advocacy focus on the ongoing threat of climate change and related environmental issues, defense of the rights of migrants, promotion of a sustainable economic justice, mitigate income inequalities, engagement in interreligious dialogue and conflict resolution and advocating against the death penalty.
Examples of advocacy (e.g publication of Columban Statements):
- participation to the US National Migrant Week,
- creation of a culture of encounter in the National Migrant Week,
- right to water,
- sustainable development and agricultural systems,
- set an interreligious dialogue website,
- publication of peace message
