Background
The Special Education Centre is set within the Colegio Mater Admirabile, El Agustino.
Objective
To improve the sensorial skills of the students of the Centre for Special Needs of the Mater Admirabile School, El Agustino.
Outcomes
- Special education students have been able to develop sensory-motor integration skills by interacting with their physical environment. They have also been able to improve the mastering of their body emotions from a motion aspect and a global integration of their body.
- Students with disabilities have responded to different stimuli that increased their reflexes.
- Students have been step by step taking part in psychomotor activities with tasks from lesser to greater complexity.
- Students have been taking part in experimental body stimulation of each of the sensory systems.
- The multi-sensorial-motor stimulation room was implemented in the Special Education section.
