Echoes from the 69th Commission on Status of Women (CSW69)

The 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), held in March 2025, marked a pivotal moment in the global dialogue on gender equality. Commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, this session built upon decades of progress initiated by the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. The Fourth World Conference in 1995 remains a landmark event, consolidating five decades of legal advancements aimed at securing equality for women in law and practice.
CSW69 provided a platform for reviewing the implementation of these commitments and addressing persistent challenges in achieving gender equity. Sacred Heart representatives, associates, and friends who attended the session reflected deeply on the progress made and the relentless fight that remains.
The Sacred Heart at the UN has published a newsletter featuring highlights from CSW69 and the Teen Orientation. Explore the links below to read firsthand accounts and reflections from participants during these events.
