
Background
The transition from youth to adulthood is smoother if the youth are given proper instruments to overcome the challenges they face during this spell of time. The Open Heart Foundation provides encounters to build strong foundations for life for young people to sail off in their future.
Activities
The Academy of a Young Leader runs activities that are centered on enhancing self-confidence and providing full control over their own life (my life is in my hands); looking into life as a source of resources; and seeking the meaning of their life. Actions include:
- Activities fostering the spirit : personal and spiritual development workshops, participation in World Youth Day;
- Activities fostering the intellect: education, therapy
- Activities fostering the body: sports
The Open Heart Socio-therapeutic Youth Club runs programmes for the social and professional integration of people with abuse disorders:
- Prevention programmes to address alcohol-related and drug abuse problems
The Day-Room Children Work focuses on the needs of children and their families.
