Objective

To contribute to the improvement of standards of living of the population of Chimba, Antofagasta by responding to challenges such as socially disadvantaged families, poor socio-cultural-economic situations, lack of faith, migration, violence, drugs, alcoholism.

Activities

  • RSCJs accompany the development of the process of a basic ecclesiastic community in the parish of San Paolo

  • RSCJs participate in the parish groups (accompany and counselling)

  • Team work with lay people

  • The migrant pastoral organize workshops for women of Vincularse

  • Take in and accompany the experiences from the San Luis School and CVX (?)

  • Offer free time to share the daily life of people

  • RSCJs run awareness raising on poor people's situations  

  • Plan and accompany the work of the Council of the Chapel (attending meetings and archdiocesan equips)

Outcomes

  • Lay people increase participation in parish activities

  • Relationships between parish attendants have strengthened

  • Increased solidarity with marginalized people

  • Daily participation has increased

  • Trust has increased,

  • Faith confirmation
