Background
Violence is high in Haiti and prevents free movement; it is a danger for parents to travel to the nearby town to purchase stationary and text book for their childrens schooling.
Activities
The project drove to the Dominican Republic to purchase stationery and managed to travel to Port-au-Prince to buy a part of the text books. The project opened a book and stationery shop within the school.
Results
Without incurring in risky trips, and at a cheaper price, parents could buy the needed materials for their children to attend school and enjoy a straightforward learning. The photocopier has been a success for all the local population and its income has helped paying the teachers salary.
