Background

Among the values of the Sacred Heart Schools, there is a social awareness which impels to action, where we encourage students to act against oppression and injustice. 

Objective

To raise awareness among Year 10 classes of social justice issues, and explore philanthropy. 

Activities

  • Year 10 students are invited to chose a social justice issue
  • Year 10 students run awareness campaigns at school on the chosen issue
  • Year 10 students identify means to raise funds for the chosen issue
  • Year 10 students identify an association/organisation that cares for the chosen issue
  • Year 10 students transfer funds to the chosen organisation.
